| College Students: How do you sell your textbooks? | | Do you sell them back to the school, put up flyers near that department, sell them online, etc.?I sell my textbooks on Ebay. The school doesn't pay enough and I'm too lazy to do the whole flyer thing and get approval for it and all of that. Sometimes I'll sell the books to people I know. But most often, I Ebay them. | |
| | is the U.S. the only country where college TEXTBOOKS are so expensive? | | I just paid $140.00 for a book for one business class, another class wants $70.00 for a little computer book. This is only a small community college too (not private).. I was talking to a friend who goes back to his home country to order textbooks and they are only about 10 dollars... why do we get ripped off when it comes to these things like books, drugs, health care, taxes, even renting a stupid apartment is becoming an major issue. Even an elctronic book (eBook) of the same textbook was $79.00!!! its pure robbery.. | |
| | Do you hate overpaying for college textbooks?? | | I just hate even stepping foot into our college bookstore because I am soooo tired of being royally ripped off, so I decided to go on a search for reasonably priced textbooks and here's a few sites I found.
campusi.com - great price comparisons
bigwords.com - also price comparisons
I also got coupon codes to these sites that I used so I know that they work.
textbookx.com - use jen_2006 and get free shipping and an entry to win 500 bucks.
valorebooks.com - use the code 5OFF and get 5% off of any order.
This is all I got so far but if anyone has any other sites I would greatly apprechiate sharing because I am obviously a broke college kid just trying to save a few bucks. THX | |
