INSTRCTIONS FOR BECOMING A BILLIONAIRE!
STEP 1: If you're a bum living on the street with no money and no hope, the first step is for you to get some kind of help. You can do so by finding and approaching any number of social service centers such as: YMCA, YWCA, churches, government social services, social organizations, homeless shelters, friends, relatives etc...Your first objective is just to find a place to stay where you can get a hot mean and a roof over your head. Get cleaned up, shaven, perhaps try to get a hair cut or at least comb your hair nice, and try to start to look and act normal again. STEP 2: Try to get the organization that's helping you to get you a bus pass, so you'll have your basic transportation in order. Then begin by visiting your local library or career center. There you will work on developing an up to date resume and cover letter which you will use to begin a job search. Get someone there to help you put together a resume in case you don't know how. Or find a book on developing resumes from the library. STEP 3: Go to a second hand store, or... | |

| | Sippy Cups~It's hard getting them clean... | | I hate it when i find a sippy cup under the sofa or in the toy box. I hate having to throw them away. I finally found a good way to clean the nozzle. I use a small paintbrush and of course, antibacterial soap. the brush makes it easier to reach into the nozzle and the spill proof valve. Do you have any tips? | |
| | The First Time Opie Was in the Studio | | Opie Taylor who is 1.5 years old now, hung around with me today while I painted. I was so impressed! The very first time he hung out with me when I painted, he decided that it was a bit boring to just sit and watch - especially when I had such an intriguing brush going back and forth. Anyways, to make a long story short - and you probably guessed it, Opie pounced. He splattered into the paint on the canvass, obviously didn't like it, ran out of the studio, into the office, into the living room...leaving fresh paint prints as a trial to easily follow. And, he hated to be washed when I finally caught him!Today was a pleasant surprise - Opie just hung out with me, didn't chase the paint brushes and didn't run across the canvass!Do you have an outrageous kitten or cat story? | |

| | To All My Friends....Please Read Entire Discussion | | I am writing to let all my my lot friends know that I will be off line for a couple of weeks. I will pop in now and agian and respond to posts. But I will not be starting anymore until I get my own computer back. So if you don't see me for awhile. Please just drop me a line here on my lot. Than I will get back to you. As I still have limited access to my in laws computer. The past couple of weeks I have been using my sisters computer. The good news is...she is finally moving out of my house...Woo hoo!! I get my house back. But I will be busy painting 'Kills' on my walls. (The previous owner was a real bad smoker. We can't get it off the walls without repainting. The paint on the walls is so old. It has lead in it.) Than I plan on re-painting all the walls a different color. Instead of this pale yellow. So, now you know why I will be busy. As I will be doing all this painting myself. Yes, being disabled I am still going to paint. I have to buy extendtions for the paint brushes to reach the tall places. Lol. But I can do it. I am also going to have the carpet ripped up through the house and replaced by tile. By that will have to be done room by room. As I am still living here with... | |
| | An artist's agrravation | | As I stare onton my blank cavast, I think to myself. What do I paint? I've been pondering on this question fro weeks now. Everything is ready, the paint brushes has been washed and dried, the water for my burshes is clear and it's waiting to be used, the paint I plan to use is ready and alined. Now what do I paint?I have been thinking about this for sometime now, and yet nothing has come to my mind. I think I may have a block. I told my mom about it. I asked her what should I do. She said "Wait for it, wait for it to come back, insipiration will strike soon" and so I wait. It feels like eternity. After a few months I asked my friends what should I do? I miss the feeling, painting brings me. They said "Stare at you're blank canvas until you can no longer stare at it, until you're so pissed and agravated to the point of painting something" and so I stared on my canvas for days, until I could no longer stare at it. But still nothing.I think to myself, why, why can't I paint anything. I answer myself. I'm scared, scared of what? that people wont like it. I used to remember that I paint for me and no one else. But why do I bother... | |
| | Does this make sense? | | I just got home from Lowe's. I'm getting ready for spring so I bought soil mix, Thompson's, sand paper, paint brushes and a face mask (to prevent breathing in sanding). While passing the bin where they put their boxes for trashing I saw a large, think plastic banner complete with grommet holes. I didn't unfold it but it looked like it was for an advertisement that was over and ready for discard. Just so the cleak didn't think I was stealing it, I told her where I had gotten it. She said she needed to check with the manager.Well, the manager said I couldn't have it. I was going to use it as a drop cloth when I get around to staining. I pointed out the it was in the bin to be trashed, but the answer was still no. The lady behind me said it's probably because it has some manufacturer's name on it. (The manager didn't give me an excuse.) But driving home, I realized how many times I'd gotten empty boxes from there to ship stuff in and it's never been a problem, regardless of what companies name was on the box. I feel like giving my business to Home Depot from now on, even though it means driving about 5 extra miles. In the day where recycling... | |
