to break up a fever dream

This Christmas I got
the flu. On Christmas night it was especially bad. I got an awful fever,
and made the mistake of taking some nighttime cold medicine that expired
in 1997. In the small hours of the morning my brain took me hostage and
locked me in a state of half-awake paralysis, calmly repeating a single
phrase over and over, urging me to understand the messianic importance
embedded within the following four words: Robots Read My Diary.
I was
freezing, and thirsty, and feverish; helpless to provide myself with the
smallest comfort. My mind raced in desperate circles for hours, trying
to make sense of this urgent directive, upon which the very survival of
the human race seemed to depend.

But they don't care much about grammar, they just like the meat: keywords.

yourself today Here is the story of Delia, the brave little cornsnake.
Poor thing was wracked with the fever, got caught in the blizzard, lay
there for six months, frozen in a block of ice. Brain as discrete object.
Comforting thoughts. Pray incessantly. Be fully intent. Step out of
your posture of fear. The sea was choked in ice on the morning the craven
fear went down. The whalers had a bad feeling about it from the start.
The sky colors, you see. At six forty five in the morning the whale breeched,
shattering the deck and spilling half the crew into the blood-soaked waters.
And so it went until all but one was dead and drowned. Luckily for that
one, though, an evil mermaid just happened to get curious. Well. Mr.
Scourge-of-the seas. Not so impressive now, are we? The mermaid was
the size of a walrus, with blue scales and massive, algae-covered fangs.
What do you have to say for yourself. Arent you going to entreat
me for help? Come on, now. How will you ask me? Will you offer your undying
gratitude, pledge your sudden and transcendental love? It wont do
you a bit of good. Ive heard it all before. Do your worst, pirate.
Make me change my mind and care. Think up some way to make yourself useful
to me. Filthy murderer! Whaler! The sailor was clinging to a shard
of ice no bigger than a coffee table. Bloody frost caked his left eye
and left nostril. He peeped at the mermaid out of his good eye. Pretend
